Liz blends executive coaching, organizational development, and management consulting skills in her work with clients. As the Founder & Managing Partner of Stinson Advising, she maintains an active coaching and advising practice focused on supporting executives and investors. Her clients include a range of growth-stage companies, venture capital and private equity firms and their portfolio companies, large corporations, and hedge funds. While she serves clients across industries, she brings expertise in healthcare and tech.
Previously, Liz was a Principal at Green Peak Partners, where she advised clients on a range of topics including executive assessment, leadership development, executive coaching, and organizational effectiveness. Liz developed expertise in assessing finalist candidates for C-level roles in PE portfolio companies, based on her insight into the specific requirements of these roles. In part due to this nuanced understanding, she became a sought-after executive coach, especially to C-level executives in PE-backed companies.
Prior to Green Peak, Liz was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company’s Healthcare Systems & Services Practice, based in the Silicon Valley Office. At McKinsey, she focused on organizational issues and transformations, change management, and operational improvement, in addition to strategy work with clients. She was known as a dedicated people leader with a passion for coaching and leadership development, both internally and with clients. As a frequent faculty member and curriculum developer for McKinsey's internal training programs, she successfully launched new consultants through her trainings and on her teams. On the recruiting front, she was a frequent interviewer for the West Coast Office and a leader in McKinsey’s recruiting efforts at Stanford and Harvard Business School.
Liz's background includes an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MS and a BS from Stanford University in Biological Sciences. In addition, she has completed extensive formal training in executive coaching, including with The Coaches Training Institute in the Co-Active Coaching model. Stinson Beach is 17 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. As one of Liz's favorite places, it is close enough to San Francisco to be reachable for a picnic lunch or a sunset stroll by the ocean, yet it feels a world away. The western edges of the city of San Francisco are visible from Stinson Beach, but from a completely different perspective.
Stinson Advising's client work helps leaders find new perspectives on familiar situations, just as Stinson Beach affords a different view on San Francisco - without requiring too much time to get there.
Liz took all the photographs on this website of Stinson Beach, while enjoying this beautiful place with family, friends, and dogs.
